This home was dismantled piece by piece and restored it to its original beauty, recently. The attention to detail, quality workmanship and material is evident throughout the house, from the restored custom cabinetry to the hand-hewn floors, the custom leaded glass transoms, and the restored ornate radiators.

This three-bay clapboard house has a square tower with a steep hipped roof which dominates the medium gabled roof of the dwelling. The design elements of the house, along with the tower, are reminiscent of the Queen Anne architectural style (with hints of Italianate).

The wrap-around veranda and its intricate original trim are still intact and make it a very special place to enjoy a glass of local wine, a BBQ or simply take in the glorious gardens that surround the property.

Lake Ontario is only blocks away, as are the Niagara on the Lake’s Queen Street, Niagara Golf Club, many restaurants and the Shaw Festival Theatre.

The home is situated only a stone’s throw from the Prince of Wales Hotel. On a warm summer day, horse-drawn carriages can be seen parading by from the veranda.

The property boasts a restored coach house that accommodates parking for our guests.

Double doors with glass inserts open to the home’s foyer, which features a dramatic grand wooden tower with a crystal chandelier, marble floor, panelled walls and a closet. The spacious living room has pot lights, a hand-hewn plank hardwood floor, large picture windows and a double sided-fireplace. The formal dining room has a hand-hewn plank hardwood floor, double entrance doors, three picture windows and the fireplace it shares with the living room. The family room is combined with the kitchen and features a marble floor, a stone gas fireplace, pot lights, oversized windows, tongue-and-groove ceiling and a powder room with a patterned marble floor and custom cabinetry.

Highlights of the kitchen include Carrera marble counters, a large custom island with a sink, heated stone floor, ceramic tile backspace, a stainless steel 16-burner Wolfe stove, a tongue-and-groove ceiling, custom cabinetry, integrated appliances, pot lights, a butler’s pantry and wine cellar, a mudroom and a walk-out to a stone patio.

On the second floor, three bedrooms feature hand-hewn plank floors. The master bedroom has pot lights, a walk-in closet and a four-piece ensuite with a claw-foot tub, patterned marble floor and antique cabinetry. The second and third bedrooms features crown moulding. One of the bedrooms boasts a walkout to a balcony and a three-piece ensuite with a patterned marble floor and custom cabinetry. There is another four-piece bathroom with custom cabinetry and a patterned marble floor. In addition to the three bedrooms the second level offers an office space that is ideal for the business traveler.

“The perfect place for anyone looking to enjoy Niagara On The Lake for a weekend. The property is central and has a beautiful backyard - it's a great spot to BBQ and gather with a large group. The house was recently renovated and is spotless, along with a fantastic kitchen and dining area. The area is residential and a bit quieter, but very charming. Would definitely recommend. ”

I called Mark, the Manager to book this property as I wanted to see it before booking. He met us at the home, gave us a full overview. Very personable Manager and the house is decorated exquisitely. I booked 3 nights that day and very much looking forward to our June stay!

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations are subject up to a 50% cancellation fee and must be confirmed through email. If less than 60 days prior to your arrival, the full amount will be forfeited.
Please notify us immediately if you cannot use your reservation. If successful in finding a suitable replacement booking for the dates of your reservation, at our discretion we will refund the payment less administration fees determined at the time the replacement booking is confirmed and paid for.
