Property Description

In the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake’s eclectic Chautauqua neighbourhood, Circle House blends comfort – and an unbeatable location – with the privacy of a secluded getaway.

Property Details

This spacious bungalow has great character, elegantly designed with charm and warmth. It offers free WiFi, a fully-equipped kitchen, new hardwood floors, and eclectic furnishings. Central air conditioning and heat ensure all-year-round comfort.

Circle House is located in the Chautauqua area, which can be translated as "a place of mists", was a traveling tent show which was most popular in Niagara-on-the-Lake during the 1890s. Named after the street the house is located on, Circle Street is where the Chautauqua Amphitheater was located.

The living room is a bright, wonderful space for guest to gather, and enjoy each other’s company. The large kitchen/dining area is perfect to enjoy the abundance of the area’s fresh, local produce. Or guests can grill on the gas BBQ, and dine with friends in the back garden, before playing bocce, badminton – or seeking the serenity of the hammock in the gazebo.

The lower level of Circle House evokes both games room and pub room – with ample seating to relax, watch a movie, unwind at the vintage bar or play at the games table.

In the evening, escape to the quiet tranquility one of three bedrooms, each fitted with luxurious new memory foam mattresses and crisp linens. The home sleeps up to 6 guests in king and queen size beds.

The two bathrooms include designer towels and all-natural bath soaps from One Earth, a local ‘small batch’ boutique. We also provide essentials including paper products, coffee, tea, and sugar to get you started.

Your hosts will greet you at the property, show you the workings of the home, and suggest activities to help you make the most of your memorable visit. In the unlikely event, there is anything needed during your stay, we’re just a phone call away!

While staying at Circle House, we encourage you to live like a local, and experience “the Niagara-on-the-Lake effect” for yourself – every season of the year. An ideal travel destination, the area has attractions to suit all tastes: the Shaw Festival, charming and historic Old Town, numerous wineries, expansive recreation trails, art galleries, jet boats and paddle boarding, world-class dining, Fort George, shopping … and many annual events, including the Niagara Ice Wine and Peach festivals.
Charming Chautauqua, aside from its interesting beginnings as a center for “literacy, social and scientific purposes” in the 1800s, is also known for breathtaking sunsets at Ryerson Park and Mississauga Beach, located at the end of the street. Join the locals for an evening beverage at the lake – directly across from the Toronto skyline – and see why National Geographic refers to this as one of the ten best places to watch the sunset.

Guest Reviews

Terrific location and extremely clean by Jason 10/05/2018
“A gem of a rental, in a terrific location, one block away from Lake Ontario! Photos of the house are spot-on representations of the rooms and space. The house was extremely clean. The kitchen was fully furnished. We rented the space for our two families (from NY and TX) to meet and visit the Niagara region. Would definitely go back!”
Clean, modern , spacious and perfect location by Paul 09/21/2018
“We stayed at the house with another couple for a weekend trip to visit some wineries. The house was clean, modern, and spacious even for 1 or 2 more couples. The location was perfect, a 5 minute walk to lakefront views, a 1 mile walk to the spot where we rented bikes for the tour and less than 1.5 miles from shops and restaurants. We would definitely recommend!”

Circle house was a great home to relax after a long day of winery hopping! by Teri 08/22/2018
Circle house was a great home to relax after a long day of winery hopping! The host was very responsive to the booking of any issues we had (where is the hair dryer?). The location was far enough away from the Main Street of NOTL to feel like you could completely relax in a woodland setting, yet still very close to town. A short, pleasurable walk revealed a lovely park on Lake Ontario where we could watch the sunset. The location was a convenient launch point for winery touring. The home was impeccably clean and nicely decorated; country chic with whimsical touches and comfortable beds. The large, private backyard was a wonderful place to relax and sip the wines we purchased during the day. The kitchen is very well equipped. I will definitely stay again when I return to Niagara-On-The-Lake.

You can expect everything that has been written in the description and awesome customer service!! It’s only 6 mins away from the downtown strip - it’s perfect because we had a car!!
